The fourth annual Nursing Graduate Reunion at the University of Central Arkansas is planned for 9-12:30 p.m. Nov. 3.
The event will be in the auditorium of Doyne Health Science Center at UCA.
Guest speaker Mary Diles will speak on "Healing, The Sacred Work of Nursing." Diles has 41 years of experience in the field of nursing, graduating from UCA in 1971. She is the assistant director and leader of the System Nursing Development Team for Baptist Health.
"My purpose in life is to promote healing by encouraging others to think differently," Diles said.
The reunion will include a brunch, followed by a Nursing Alumni Chapter meeting. There will also be an opportunity to see how the new SIM MAN 3G, a simulation patient mannequin, is used to give students a chance to practice advanced nursing skills in a laboratory setting.
The reunion is open to all graduates of the UCA Department of Nursing and guests and offers opportunities for professional networking and updates graduates on advances within the program.
