Two St. Joseph School students earned awards during a cupcake baking contest this week, according to a news release.
Seventh grader Audrey Ferrari was voted the "Fan Favorite" for her Snickerdoodle Surprise. Eleventh grader Sydney Spradlin was judged the Cupcake Champion for her Italian Cream Christmas Tree and Holly cupcake.
The contest was sponsored by the school’s chapter of Family Career Community Leaders of America and had 18 entrees submitted. Winners in the two offered categories of the competition were announced at the basketball game with Harding Academy on Dec. 11.
One was "Fan Favorite" in which students-parents could sample cupcakes and vote for their favorite. The other was determined by a panel of judges.
