Enjoy a holiday tradition with the Tinsel and Tutus performance of the Conway Symphony Orchestra, Sat. Dec. 7, 7:30 pm at Reynolds Performance Hall. The Tinsel and Tutus concert features festive tunes and an audience sing-a-long, plus highlights from The Nutcracker performed by the Arkansas Festival Ballet, a performance by the Voices of Central Arkansas (formerly Central Arkansas Children’s Choir), and a special lobby pre-show by TUBA Christmas.

Tickets are $20-$38 for adults, $6 for children/students, and $15 for groups of ten or more at the Reynolds Box Office, (501) 450-3265, or ConwaySymphony.org. Reynolds Performance Hall is located on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway, on Beatrice Powell Dr. off Donaghey Ave. The performance is supported by Concert Sponsor Conway Corporation, Guest Artist Sponsors Raymond James and Smith Ford, and Hospitality Sponsor Nabholz Construction.

"New this year, the Arkansas Festival Ballet will add the beloved Grand Pas de Deux to their performance, with a full second half of Nutcracker highlights including the "Sugar Plum Fairy," the "Waltz of the Flowers," the "Arabian Dance," and more. "Arkansas Festival Ballet looks forward to this continued partnership with the Conway Symphony Orchestra and to bringing the joy of The Nutcracker, a long-time favorite ballet classic for the holiday season, to the Conway audience," notes executive director Janet Aronson.

Santa will stop in for a visit with the orchestra, leading the choir and the audience in a sing-a-long before visiting with children in the lobby during intermission. Parents are invited to bring cameras for free photos.

Families are also invited to attend Nutcracker Sweets, hosted by the Conway Symphony Guild, from 6-7 pm at Brewer Hegeman Conference Center, next to the performance hall. Children will have a chance to visit the ballerinas and the Maestro before the performance. Tickets are $5 for children, with no charge for accompanying adults, and are available at www.ConwaySymphony.org.
