Four students from Faulkner County have recently been selected as the Conway Optimist Club’s Teen of the Months.

Cameron Tilley and Zelda Engeler-Young were chosen for March and Abigal Covington and Nick Davanzo were selected for April.

Tilley, the son of Brad and Kimberly, is a student at Conway High School.

The 18 year old is a member of the soccer and football team. He is on the leadership team for Fellowship of Christian Athlete and is a member with the Health Occupation Students of America and the National Honor Society.

Tilley attends Second Baptist Church in Conway where he is involved with the child care and outreach ministries. He has served as a volunteer at VBS (vacation bible school) and with the Drop, Second Baptist’s Easter Egg hunt celebration.

The CHS senior currently has a 4.26 GPA.

Tilley will graduate in may 2017 and plans to enroll in the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville to major in anthropology and go into pre-medicine.

Engeler-Young, the daughter of Bobby and Sarah, is a senior at Conway High School.

In her free time, she enjoys creative writing, playing the violin and reading all books within reach.

The 18 year old is a participant of the Quiz Bowl team, attended Arkansas Governor’s School, is a musician with the All-State Chamber Orchestra and is a member of the Spanish Honor Society.

The CHS student serves with the Faulkner County Democrats and the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) Summer Strings Camp.

Her current GPA is 4.35.

When she graduates in May 2017, Engeler-Young plans to attend Hendrix College and major in biochemistry.

Davanzo is the son of Carmen and Bridge Davanzo.

He is a student at St. Joseph High School.

The 18 year old is a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, (FCCLA) the National Honor Society, the varsity bowling team and book club.

Davanzo attends St. Joseph Catholic Church and serves as as volunteer for the annual bazaar festival.

His current GPA is 4.0. When he graduates in May 2017, he plans to enroll at UCA.

Covington is the daughter of Amy and Jason Covington and is a student at St. Joseph High School.

The 17 year old is the president of FCCLA, the captain of her varsity cheer team, a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the student cabinet.

Covington attends St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Her GPA is 4.0. When she graduates in May 2017, she plans to attend UCA and study elementary education.
