LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Arts Center announces results for the 53rd annual Delta Exhibition. The exhibition will be held in the Townsend Wolfe Gallery until Feb. 20.

The Delta Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture was created in 1956 to feature contemporary works by artists from Arkansas and the bordering states. The Delta Exhibition has grown to encompass works in all media and displays the dynamic vision of the artists of the Mississippi Delta region. The Delta Exhibition is open to all artists who live in or were born in one of the following states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.

Fifty-four works were selected for the 53rd Annual Delta exhibition by Meredith Ward, president of Meredith Ward Fine Art in New York City.

"It is truly a privilege to serve as the juror for the 53rd Annual Delta Exhibition," said Ward. "The variety of work submitted this year was extraordinary, and it was extremely difficult to cull down 803 works to the 54 selected for the exhibition."

Arkansas artists who were selected to be in the exhibition are: Deborah Kuster, Conway, Where are the Feathers?, 2009, handwoven fibers, beads, machine-pieced and quilted; Brandon Mathis, Conway, Keeping the Faith, 2010, mixed media; and Jerry Sanders, Conway, Windwalker, 2010, acrylic and ink on canvas.
