The Conway Area Career Center in Conway, Arkansas recently competed in the Arkansas Skills USA State Competition.

Conway took over 60 competitors from the areas of welding, construction, auto collision repair, photography, cosmetology, computer technology and architectural drafting.

Medals were awarded to the following students:

Nicholas Vest, silver medal for related technical math; Ben Caldwell, gold metal, plumbing; BJ Easterling, silver metal, masonry; Caleb Capps, silver medal, cabinet making; Brandon Davey, bronze metal, carpentry; Nathan Zimmerman, bronze medal, cabinet making; Shelby McCall and Haley Johnson, gold medal, American spirit; Bailey Kerr, gold medal, cosmetology novice, Mia Paris and Austyn Tabor, silver medal, nails; Tyler Starr, bronze medal, related technical math; Kaity Haynes, silver medal, photography; Livvy Pierce, bronze medal, photography; and Sabrina Smith, gold medal, state officer.

The gold medalist in American spirit and plumbing, and the silver medalist in photography, will travel to Kansas City, Mo., in June to represent the state at the Skills USA National Competition.
