MAGNOLIA — Southern Arkansas University has announced the awarding of scholarships to multiple local students for the 2014-15 academic year.

Students who have received scholarships include the following:

Caroline Armstrong, of Vilonia, a senior at Vilonia High School, was awarded the University scholarship. This scholarship includes $4,500 per semester and has a four year value of $36,000. Armstrong is the daughter of Paul and Jan Armstrong.

Marcus Carver, of El Paso, a senior at Beebe High School, was awarded the Achievement scholarship. This scholarship includes $1,000 per semester and has a four year value of $8,000. Carver is the son of Marc Carver and Melissa Henry.

Michael Clampit, of Mayflower, a senior at Mayflower High School, was awarded the University scholarship. This scholarship includes $4,500 per semester and has a four year value of $36,000. Clampit is the son of Lesa and Eric Scoggins.

Kannon Evins, of El Paso, a senior at Rose Bud High School, was awarded the Achievement scholarship. This scholarship includes $1,000 per semester and has a four year value of $8,000. Evins is the daughter of Kim and Keely Evins.
