A 3.5-magnitude earthquake occured about 21 miles northwest of Conway late Wednesday morning. This followed seven earthquakes that were reported the day before.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports seven earthquakes in Arkansas in the early morning hours of Tuesday.
The quakes all occurred within 20 miles or so of Cave City. They ranged from a magnitude 1.7 to 2.9.
No damage has been reported from the earthquakes.
This latest string of earthquakes follows a series of earth-shaking movements earlier this month. On May 15, a magnitude 2.5 quake was reported near Clinton.
In response to those most recent earthquakes, the Arkansas Geological Survey is stepping up its monitoring of seismic activity southeast of Clinton near Greers Ferry Lake.
