The American Legion will be going around to cemeteries in the area to remember those lives lost fighting in the U.S. military this Memorial Day.

Monday’s schedule is packed with opportunities for the public to honor fallen military personnel.

Charles Yarbro, from the local American Legion post, will be speaking at 8 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery, 8:30 a.m. at Carter Cemetery and 9 a.m. at Old Liberty Cemetery.

Faulkner County Judge Allen Dodson will be speaking at 9:30 a.m. at Crestlawn Cemetery. Conway Mayor Tab Townsell is scheduled to speak at Oak Grove Cemetery at 11 a.m. and state Sen. Jason Rapert will be speaking at Macedonia Cemetery at 1 p.m.

Later that afternoon Dodson will speak at the Faulkner County Courthouse at 4 p.m. The last service of the day will be at 6 p.m. at Copper Springs in Guy.
