DALLAS — Dallas police are seeking suspects in the apparent random fatal shooting of a man who was taking photos of newly fallen snow.

Investigators say the 36-year-old victim was in a parking lot before dawn Thursday snapping photos of snow when he was shot. Police say Ahmed Al-Jumaili was transported to a hospital, where he died.

Officer Monica Cordova says witnesses told police that some unknown males were randomly firing when a bullet struck the victim. Several parked vehicles were also hit by the scattered gunfire, around 12:30 a.m. CST Thursday, on a day when the Dallas area received 2-4 inches of snow.

Further details weren’t immediately released.
