Conway’s newest nail salon, Meme’s Place, is bringing "modern style with classic values" to the scene.
The salon opened Feb. 1 and was named after owner CJ Reynolds’s grandmother.
"She was a cosmetologist who was an independent woman before it was cool to be an independent woman," she said. "She graduated cosmetology school at 14 years old, and we tried to make everything in the store in honor of her."
Reynolds said the goal of the store is for people to leave happy and relaxed after their visit.
"We want people to come in and enjoy coming in to get your nails done or waxing," she said. "You just can’t get that a lot of places now."
Reynolds said the salon offers nail services, waxing, lashes and makeup. The store also offers a boutique area where customers can purchase shirts from sizes small to 3X.
"The only thing we don’t do is hair," she said. "We try to cater to everyone and have something for everybody."
Reynolds said the store also offers a pick-your-own-scent bar.
"If you’re getting a service like a manicure or pedicure that have the exfoliation service, you’re in charge," she said. "You let your tech know, and you get to take a little bit home so you can maintain your service until you come back in."
Reynolds said the salon also does the "latest and greatest in nail trends."
"We can do anything from basic to little detailed art," she said. "We have the talent to do that."
She said the massage chairs and spas are heated, so customers can stay warm and keep their feet warm.
