This year’s Grand Marshal Christi Johnson told the Log Cabin Democrat she thought the parade had a great turnout and that she "loved seeing the excitement on people’s faces."

Johnson, born and raised in Conway, oversees the Lip Sync for Life event that benefits the American Cancer Society. In the four years she’s been in charge, the event has raised $200,000.

"Conway is a great community to be able to do volunteer work in," said Johnson, who added that almost all businesses in Conway participate in some form of charity or volunteer work every year.

Johnson said it was an honor to be asked to be Grand Marshall for this year’s parade.
