Rausch Coleman Homes opened Woodlands Edge on Thursday, a new subdivision off Skunk Hollow Road.
Woodlands Edge is the second subdivision the Fayetteville-based company has in Conway, in addition to North Hills.
Founder Ernest Coleman spoke about his dream of building homes many years ago.
"It is a dream come true to see all of this," he said. "When I had a dream for this about 65 years ago, I was sitting in class in college and draw plans on houses I was going to build one day.
"It’s wonderful to have that dream and see it come to fruition years later. Oral Roberts said, ‘Success is not without successors.’ I’m blessed with my son and two grandsons, who are committed to it and the reality is they do a better job than I do it."
Rausch Coleman sales professional James Bradley said the company offers homes, which are perfect for first-time homebuyers.
"If you’re looking for a quality home with quality service, we have it," he said. "Our price points out here start at about $129,000. The size is about 1,250-square-feet.
"There are not a lot of homes in Conway at that price point. We have great customer service and great quality homes and product. We have a lot of first time homebuyers in the Conway area. We have 70 lots out here. You can buy a home or build a home. Whatever you want, we can make it work for you."
CEO John Rausch told a story about a family that now how has a new home in Conway because of the new subdivision.
"We’re excited to be back in Conway and in this price point," he said. "Last week, I was over here and we had a lady drive up who works at Hibbett Sports. I got to meet her and started talking with her and going with her story. She has two sons, 10 and 12 years old, who has never owned a home in her life.
"She was approved for around $130,000. She said she was looking all over Conway and couldn’t find anything but used homes until we came and put these homes here. ‘If it wasn’t for what you do and the dream you guys have, I wouldn’t be able to put my two sons in a new home.’
"It reminded us of why we’re here and what we can do. She said she has looked at apartments and used homes, but your price and the quality of what you do is better than anything in town. It’s just a dream come true for her. It’s why we do what we do. Her two boys are going to have a home they can call their own to bring their friends to and to have Christmas and Thanksgiving."
The homes start at $124,900.
