The Conway Optimist Club named two students from Guy-Perkins High School as the October Teens of the Month.
Gracey Acre, the daughter of Bartt and Denee’ Acre, is a senior at the school.
The 18-year-old is the captain of the senior high girl’s basketball team and a team member of the senior girls softball team.
She is a the vice president of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), a member of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), Beta Club and senior class secretary.
Acre attends Guy Church of Christ where she an active member of the youth group.
The Guy-Perkins senior has volunteered with the highway clean-up and nursing home visits with FCCLA and has volunteered with the Pee Wee Program where she was a coach.
She currently has a GPA of 3.8.
Acre is currently undecided on her college choice and career path.
Tre Minton is the son of Jessie McVay and Danny Minton.
The 18-year-old is a senior at Guy-Perkins High School and a member of FBLA, FCCLA, the senior boy’s basketball team and the senior boy’s baseball team.
Minton attends Solomon Grove Church.
He currently has a GPA of 2.5.
While Minton’s college choice is undecided, wherever he goes, he plans to major in nursing.
Both Minton and Acre will graduate in May 2018.
