The devil doesn’t want you to be successful in life. In fact, he works hard to oppose you at every turn. In my opinion, one of the most effective ways he uses to assault your success is through the Art of Deception. So today, I want to share with you three ways the devil tries to deceive you into forfeiting your success.
1. The first tactic the devil will use against you is to try to get you to give up! The very first thought he tries to plant in your mind is that your goal is too hard for you to accomplish. The devil wants you to think that your hopes and dreams are too big and unattainable. He gives you multiple reasons why you should give up and except failure. However, the Bible tells a much different story in Philippians 4:13 which states, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." You have to tell yourself daily, "I can do this! As long as God is on my side, every goal I set out to accomplish is achievable." Don’t let the devil deceive you into giving up!
2. The second tactic the devil will use against you is burnout! He is trying to mislead you into putting too many things on your to-do-list. He wants you to suffer the negative effects of being overworked, fatigued and stressed out. If you want to be successful in life, you must learn how to conserve your energy. One of my favorite Bible verses on this subject is found in Mark 6:31, which states, "Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, Jesus said to them, come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." We cannot conquer the world overnight. It is foolish to try to take on too much, too quickly. Don’t let the devil deceive you into burnout.
3. The third tactic the devil will use against you is self-destructive behavior! The Bible states in Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way that seem right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." The devil will try to fool you into believing that a negative attitude or having a poor work ethic isn’t a big deal. But in reality, they can absolutely kill your hopes and dream. Don’t let the devil deceive you to self-destructive behavior.
Yes, the devil will try to use deception to get you to forfeit God’s best for your life. He will try to trick you into giving up, burning out, or self-destructing. It is the Art of Deception. Blessings!!!
