Sherry Watson

Bethlehem House Christian Transitional Shelter has announced the newest addition to the board of directors. Sherry Watson (asset accountant with Home BancShares Inc. of Conway). Watson’s first involvement with the shelter was donating food over the last several years.

"Many great organizations are around but this one works using belief in God and in helping others as its foundation. The board members demonstrate integrity and a general camaraderie I admire. I also work as an accountant so I understand the financials. I love the fact the program helps our neighbors through resident housing, food boxes and nightly meals," Watson said. "The next thing on the horizon for Bethlehem House is a new bigger building. The 100-year plus facility has been outgrown and upkeep and utilities are astronomical. I am very excited about being involved with building the new house. A new Bethlehem House will help our community on so many levels. With more room, we will be able to help more people who are desperate to get off the street. Change can be a good thing; in this case it is definitely good for our community."
