Gigi Richelle Locke
Gigi Richelle Locke, 39, passed away on Oct. 10, 2009, at her home in Canton, Ga.
Her final days were spent surrounded by many of the family and friends, which had meant so much to her throughout her all-too-short but love-filled life.
Gigi was born May 6, 1970, in Conway, to Richard and Gaye Markham.
She attended Perry High School in Perry, Okla., and South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Ga., where she graduated as valedictorian.
She then continued her education at Shorter College in Rome, Ga., graduating in 1992 as salutatorian with an bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
She worked as a third-grade teacher before taking on her dream job, being a mom.
She loved life, her family and friends and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick Locke; their children, Maddie, Camden, Braxton and Emerson; father and mother, Richard and Gaye Markham of Canton, Ga.; siblings, Rich Markham of Suwannee, Ga., Gini Markham of Canton, Ga., Geremy Markham of Jefferson, Ga., and Roger Markham of New York; her grandmother, Johnie Boyette Hanks of Conway; and several nieces and nephews.
The celebration of life service for Gigi Locke will be held on Wednesday at The Chapel at First Baptist Church Woodstock, 11905 Hwy 92, Woodstock, Ga. 30188.
The service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday. In Lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Gigi’s name to: Inheritance Of Hope.
