The film describes events after the Civil War. Small parcels of land in Arkansas were sold to freed slaves.
This resulted in the creation of unique and loyal communities built on the foundations of hard work and spirituality.
Twin Groves is a small town in Faulkner County founded by a group of newly freed slaves who benefited from this opportunity of owning land.
This is the story of the struggles and triumphs of this small Arkansas town.
The music in this film is sung by the Solomon Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and older residents of the community shared their stories and history.
