Dennis Larry Lee, 54, of Bakersfield, Calif., formerly of Conway, died Oct. 11, 2009 at his home in Bakersfield. 

He was born March 20, 1955 in Lancaster, Calif., a son of Freda Avenell Lee Lemire of Conway and the late Cecil Lee. 

He graduated from Conway High in 1973 and attended the University of Central Arkansas from 1973-1976. 

He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Lancaster, Calif. 

He enjoyed baseball, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. 

He is survived by his mother, Freda Lee Lemire of Conway; his wife, Lesley; daughter, Tiffani Newson and husband, Thomas; son, Jeffrey Lee; grandchildren, Suede, Brooklyn and Kendall Newson, all of Bakersfield; brother, Dale Lee and wife, Sharon, of Memphis. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Lee and his brother, Jim Lee. 

A graveside service, officiated by pastor Tim Kellerman of Conway’s First Church of the Nazarene, will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 25, Conway. Pallbearers will be Steve Beene, Scott Miller, and Dale Sagen all of Conway; Dick Wright of Russellville; and Mike Green of Little Rock. 

Honorary pallbearer will be Windell Hensley of Conway, uncle of the deceased. 

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at Roller McNutt Funeral Home. 327-7727.
