Virginia Wilson Clowers

Virginia Wilson Clowers, 87, of Little Rock, entered heaven and the presence of the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.  

She was born on June 18, 1922, in Plainview, a daughter of the late James and Effie Jones Roberts.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.  

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ted Clowers; and her sister, Modean Frazier.

Celebrating her life is a son, Terry Clowers and his wife Nancy; a daughter, Shirley Woodall and her husband Fred; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Austin, Ted, Steve and Randy; and five great-grandchildren.

She was a devoted wife of 53 years, a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and friend to all who knew her.  

She loved her home and treasured the times spent with family and friends — especially at Christmas.  

Her family was a source of great pride and joy.  

She was a true Christian lady with a loving spirit and a kindness toward everyone that she met.  

Her gift in life was serving others, always putting others needs before her own.  

She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed serving her family their favorites for many years.  

She loved working in the yard and grew beautiful vegetable gardens.  

She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, (501) 224-8300, with Mr. Wade Poe officiating.  

Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
