Mathalea "Matt" (Hodge) Rickett, 75, of Enola, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 20, 1933, in Mt. Vernon, a daughter of the late Johnnie Allen and Ollie Bell (Beene) Hodge.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, G. W. Rickett; a grandson, John Randall Gregory; her son-in-law, Bob Ralston; brothers and sister, Irvin, Carrell D. and Pearleen Hodge.
She was a Loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and friend who was a Christian inspiration for everyone who knew her.
Mathalea was a member of the Cedar Hill Church of Christ; a supervisor for Virco; and was a 30-year breast cancer survivor.
Survivors are her children, Lynn Rickett and wife Cynthia of Naylor, Linda Ralston of Enola, Brenda Stephens and husband Marion of Naylor and Glenda Gregory and husband John of Enola; grandchildren, Angela, Toni, Kim, Amanda, Tabitha, Heath, Valerie, Tarah, Shane, John and Diana; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Wooley of Enola and Pauline Rickett of Vilonia; a brother, Lewis Hodge of Enola; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, with David and A. W. Goff officiating.
Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, with Heath Stephens, Shane Ralston, Ben Waggoner, Kendall Casey, Steven Tucker, Adam King, Coby Kelley and Graham Peterson serving as pallbearers. John Randall Gregory will serve as honorary pallbearer, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway, 327-7727.
