Sunday school students of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and some of their family members, recently participated in a "Walking Rosary" prayer service. Though other faiths use beads for "counting" prayers, this Catholic devotional is likely the most widely known. Each group of prayers, a Lord’s Prayer, 10 Hail Mary’s and Doxology, meditates on a specific event in the life and times of Jesus Christ. The prayer intention of the day was Respect for Life. Pictured is sixth-grade teacher Carolyn Hinson and members of her class, who led the prayer. SUBMITTED PHOTO
