Mike Coats of Conway, owner of Mike’s Place and Michelangelo’s, has been named second vice president of the board of directors of the Arkansas Restaurant Association, Montine McNulty, executive director of the Arkansas Hospitality Association, announced.
The AHA is an umbrella organization representing the Arkansas Restaurant Association, the Arkansas Travel Council and the Arkansas Lodging Association. The first meeting of the AHA board of directors for 2010 will be Jan. 12-13 in Little Rock.
Lonnie Williams of Conway has been named vice chairman of the board of directors for Nabholz Construction Services.
Lonnie began his career with Nabholz in 1972 after receiving his bachelor’s degree from University of Louisiana at Monroe. He has served in many leadership roles throughout the company and was named president of the South Central Operations in 2002.
Founded in 1949, Nabholz Construction is one of the nation’s leading general contractors and construction managers. The company is employee-owned, licensed in 38 states and has offices in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.
Brad Hegeman has been appointed president of Nabholz Construction Services’ South Central Operation.
He began his career with Nabholz in 1996 as controller, following a decade with the Virco Manufacturing Corporation. He earned both undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Central Arkansas. He is a 1992 graduate of the Faulkner County Leadership Institute and in 2006 completed the advanced management program from Associated General Contractors.
Hegeman is on the board of directors for Conway Corporation, and is a board member of St. Joseph Schools where he also serves as president of the Athletic Booster Club, vice president of the Alumni Association and Parish Council.
He is a current member of Associated General Contractors of America and U.S. Green Building Council.
Malva Hickey has completed 21 years of service at Conway Human Development Center. Hickey began employment as a residential care assistant and has progressed through the ranks to her current position of residential care supervisor on the individual assistance team. She and her husband, Pat, live in Conway. They have four children and six grandchildren.
Willie Foster and Cathy Morgan have completed 26 years of service at Conway Human Development Center. Foster is a residential care technician on the intensive training team. Morgan is an administrative specialist on the habilitation and training team.
Engelkes and Felts LTD has announced the addition of Amber Hester CPA and Jessica Whiteaker, CPA.
Whiteaker specializes in auditing financial institutions as a senior auditor. She lives near Enola with her husband, Tyler.
Hester has three years experience in public accounting, with a background in both tax and audit services. She received her bachelor of business administration in August of 2007 and her master’s of accountancy in August of 2008, both from the University of Central Arkansas. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
She was born and raised in Conway, where she and her husband Drew still live. Hester is a dedicated accountant who spends her free time with her friends and family and being an active member of her church, Fellowship Bible Church in Conway.
