Emil Olen Pike, 94, of Conway, went to be with his Lord on Feb. 8, 2010.  

He was born Dec. 14, 1915, in Morganton, a son of the late W. F. and Lucy (Boone) Pike.  

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Virple (Dodd) Pike; brothers, Bradley and Vernon Pike; and his sister, Girthel Thomason.

Mr. Pike was a member of Cadron Ridge Baptist Church, and served as a deacon for 62 years.  

He also served as church music director for 28 years and currently was the adult men’s Sunday school class teacher, and had been for 54 years.

He was a retired master plumber and pipe fitter and a member of the Local 155 in Little Rock.  

In his early career, he worked for Hambuchen Supply and Sevier Plumbing. 

He enjoyed working with the Pike Family Gun Shows and was an avid deer hunter.

Survivors are his children, Billy Pike and wife, Joan, Carolyn Knopp and husband, Jimmie, all of Conway, Freddie Pike and wife, Linda of Bolivar, Mo., and Jack Pike of Conway; grandchildren, Matthew, Dale, Justin and Stephen Pike, Greg and Jody Spradlin, Lance Cossey and Melodie Copher; great-grandchildren, Jason, Jeffrey, Nathan, Kayla and Adam Spradlin, Jackson Pike, Cord Copher, Jason and Heather Bullock; two great-great-grandchildren, Liliana and Kileigh Bullock.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.  

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cadron Ridge Baptist Church, with his son, Dr. Freddie Pike, officiating.  

Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, with Steve Mahar, Allen McMoran, Jimmie Knopp, Greg Spradlin, Matthew Pike and Ray Martin Jr. serving as pallbearers. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Martin, Bill Brazear, Jody Spradlin, Dale Pike, Lance Cossey, Justin Pike, Stephen Pike and Melodie Copher.
