Frances Enderlin Hiegel of Conway died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010.
She was born on June 15, 1913 to Amos Enderlin and Rosa Ficker Enderlin of Conway.
She was affectionately know as "Gran Gran" by her family.
Her baking skills were widely known, especially for her Graham Cracker Pie, which was the family favorite.
Her husband of 63 years, Theodore J Hiegel, preceded her in death.
She is survived by five children: Charlotte A Hardin (Bob) of Little Rock, Kenneth J Hiegel (Mary Bea) of Little Rock, Frank S. Hiegel (Miss Mary) of Little Rock, Marion R Hiegel of Ballwin, Mo. and Donna M. Dougherty (Eddie) of Belleville, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister Estelle Stimel (Harold) of Conway and one brother, the Rev. Joseph Enderlin of Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by 11 other brothers and sisters, August Enderlin (Frances), Alma Enderlin, Alphouse Enderlin (Melanie), Gertrude Enderlin, Emma Balmaz (Gabe), Rose Balmaz (Felix), the Rev. Amos Enderlin, Eleanor Moix (Maurice), Emil Enderlin (Juanita), Marie Enderlin, Albert Enderlin (Emogene).
Pall bearers include grandsons F. Stephen Hiegel, Ted Hiegel, Kevin Hiegel, Kenneth Hiegel Jr., Brian Hardin, Matthew Hardin, Victor Hiegel, Jake Hiegel, Tucker Hiegel, Joe Dougherty and Mike Dougherty.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s School in Conway or to St. Scholastica Monastery in Fort Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway.
Burial will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
The family received friends Friday, which was followed by a Rosary.
