Mary Juanita Simmons, 92, of Greenbrier passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2010.
She was born June 27, 1917, in Vilonia to the late George Loys and Margret Baswell Gunter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ishmael D. Simmons, a son, Charles Simmons, a granddaughter, Terri Simmons, two brothers, George Gunter and G.W. Gunter, and three sisters, Maxine Landis, Amelia Ferrell and Margaret Fowler.
She is survived by three children, Dewey Simmons and wife Donna of Mayflower, Jimmie Simmons and wife Wanda of Greenbrier, and Sylvia Heath and husband Lonnie of Greenbrier; five grandchildren, Sammy Heath and wife Dawn of Conway, John Simmons and wife Carrie of Center Ridge, Teresa Jackson and husband Adam of Greenbrier, Tracy McElhaney and husband Shaun of Greenbrier and Clay Simmons of Conway; eight great-grandchildren, Whitney, Jarad, and Misty Heath of Conway, Max and Sawyer McElhaney of Greenbrier, Asher and Avrey Jackson of Greenbrier, and T.J. Simmons of Conway; two sisters, Shirley Sapp of Jacksonville and Bonnie Paul of Vilonia; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Dr. Joel Slayton officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Heath, John Simmons, Clay Simmons, Adam Jackson, Shaun McElhaney and Jack Gunter.
