LITTLE ROCK (AP) — State Rep. Roy Ragland and his wife Gail have been injured in a hit-and-run accident in downtown Little Rock.

Police say the Raglands were hurt about 8:20 p.m. Monday when the car they were in was hit by a sport utility vehicle. Police say the Raglands' car was knocked into an office building.

Police say Gail Ragland is hospitalized in stable condition wile Roy Ragland suffered bumps and bruises.

Police say Roy Ragland told officers two men got out of the SUV after the accident — then got back into the vehicle and sped away. Lt. Terry Hastings said no arrests had been made Tuesday morning.

Rep. Ragland is a Republican from Marshall.
