A late offensive explosion Tuesday night lifted the Mayflower baseball team to a 10-0 win over Bigelow. The game was called after five innings due to the run rule.
The Eagles (4-0) scored three runs in the four and six more in the fifth after leading 1-0 through three frames.
Jesse Grace, who also picked up the pitching win, went 2-for-4 with a double, triple and five RBI.
Dylan Boone went 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI. Mason Pearson went 1-for-3 and drove in three runs. Logan Pickell hit a pinch-hit double in the fifth to drive in a run and start the offensive output.
Grace struck out six and gave up just three hits in his first start.
Mayflower has outscored its opponents 76-9 so far this season.
The Eagles will host Pulaski Academey at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
