Helen Motley Kimbrough, 91, of Springfield, Ark. passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010.  

She was born on Friday, April 19, 1918 in Warren County, Ky. to the late Charles and Erthula (Hendrix) Motley.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  

She loved the Lord.  

She was always in good spirits and if she ever had a bad day, she chose not to share it with others.  

She was devoted to adult literacy.  

One of her legacies will always be that she taught her family how to humble themselves by way of volunteering.

She is survived by her son, Jerry and wife Denise Kimbrough; four grandchildren: John G. Kimbrough, Karen Kimbrough, Shannon Swope and Paige Kimbrough; and two great-grandchildren: Ryan Thomas Swope and Addison Elizabeth Swope.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Garland Kimbrough; and a son, John M. Kimbrough.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway with Brother Tim Keck officiating.  

Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park with Frank Dussex, Henry Hawk, Cecil Clements, John Lynch, Ricky Stone and Matt Hagenlocker serving as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), 2324 Washington Avenue, Conway, Ark. 72032.
