The Conway Christian baseball team split a pair of games over the first part of the week.

The Eagles defeated Mount Vernon-Enola 6-1 and fell to Mountain Pine 6-5 Monday.

Against the Warhawks, CCS (9-1) got a complete-game effort from Lance Nail, who improved to 3-0 on the season.

Jake Fitts was 3-for-3 with two RBI. Ezra Wiley homered in the fourth for his second blast of the year. Nail also scored two runs.

Fitts and Tyler Spangler were both 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI each in Monday’s action. Kirby Powell drove in a pair of runs.

The Eagles will return to action March 26 against Hope in the El Dorado Invitational.
