The St. Joseph softball team turned on the offense Tuesday, as they defeated Faulkner County foe Guy-Perkins 10-0 at City of Colleges Park.

With the win, the Lady Bulldogs rebounded from an opening-day loss Monday.

"(Tuesday) was better getting some of the jitters gone," St. Joseph coach Debra Wilhite said. "A lot of good things happened today."

The Lady Bulldogs scored in each of the first four innings, including plating four in the third, before the game was called in the fifth due to the run rule.

Katie Halter was 3-for-3 to lead the way. She tripled and drove in four runs. Amy Schichtl finished 1-for-1 with a double and scored twice. Brittany Dayanzo and Samnatha Hoelzeman were both 1-for-3.

St. Joseph will return to action Friday, hosting Mayflower at 4 p.m. Friday.
