Thomas "Tom" Levi Prock, Sr., 87, of North Little Rock, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 20, 2010.  

He was born July 12, 1922 in Greenwood, and was the first of two children born to Selma and Sylva Prock. 

After high school, Tom joined the United States Navy, where he trained as a gunner and a mechanic. He served three years with the Navy and went on to serve an additional 18 years with the Arkansas National Guard. Tom retired after working 41 years with Chevrolet dealerships in central Arkansas. During his tenure, he worked for Critz Chevrolet which became Russell Chevrolet, and he ended his career working for Bale Chevrolet.

He enjoyed woodworking in his shop, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.  A member of Oak Grove Church of Christ, Tom was an honest man and never missed the chance to share the Lord. 

He married his wife Gladys M. Creasey in 1946, and they were married 64 years before her passing in 2009.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lorena Sue Keeton of El Dorado.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Carr and husband Gene of Conway; his sons, Tom Prock, Jr. and wife Sheila of North Little Rock and Pat Prock and wife Donna of Sherwood.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Eula O’Doriso, of Newport News, Va.; and eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Tom will be missed by all who knew him.  Ultimately, Tom Prock was a loving husband, a daddy, a great father-in-law, a grandpa, a great-grandpa, an uncle, and a friend.

Visitation will be held at the Oak Grove Church of Christ, Monday, March 22, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Oak Grove Church of Christ at 10 a.m. 

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Arkansas State Veteran’s Cemetery in North Little Rock.
