EL DORADO — The Conway Christian baseball team took an 11-4 win over Class 5A member Camden Fairview on Saturday in the consolation game of the El Dorado Promise Invitational.
Kirby Powell led the offensive charge by going 3-for-4 with a home run. He also drove in two runs and scored twice. Powell was also named to the all-tournament team.
The Eagles improved to 10-2 on the season with the win.
Ezra Wiley was also 3-for-4, hitting three doubles while drving in a pair of runs and scoring twice. Jacob Callaway had his own 3-for-4 performance and added two RBI, two runs and stole a pair of bases. Tyler Spangler was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Lance Nail improved to 4-0 on the year, earning the pitching win. He struck out four in six innings of work.
On Friday, Conway Christian couldn’t hang on to a 7-1 lead in the seventh, as Hope rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the frame.
Wiley pitched a complete game and struck out 15.
The Eagles will open conference play Monday at White County Central.
