LITTLE ROCK (AP) — Opponents of the federal health care overhaul are asking Gov. Mike Beebe to change his mind and challenge the law in court.
About 200 protesters gathered at the state Capitol on Tuesday and many of them assemble outside the governor's office after delivering a letter asking Beebe to join a lawsuit with other states to challenge the health care law.
Beebe has said he's concerned about the law's costs to the state, but said he doesn't plan on joining a lawsuit other states have filed challenging the constitutionality.
Little Rock radio station KARN host Dave Elswick helped organize the rally and sit-in. He said that other protests are planned against the health care law.
