ALITTLE ROCK — Three Conway High Schools received banners for either sportsmanship or academic performance during Wednesday’s meeting of the Arkansas Activities Association’s Governing Body.

Conway High won the Sportmanship Award for Class 7A. That award is voted on by the athletes and coches in the winner’s classification.

Conway Christian and St. Joseph each won two academic state championships in individual sports. Those awards are based on the cumulative grade-point average involving each player in each individual sport.

Conway Christian athletes earned state academic championships in volleyball and football. St. Joseph athletes earned state championships in girls basketball and girls golf.

Little Rock Christian led all schools in academic honors for athletics, winning nine academic state sports titles.

Other schools earning sportsmanship awards were; El Dorado (6A), White Hall (5A), Hamburg (4A), Arkansas Baptist (3A), Melbourne (2A) and Alpena (1 A).

Baseball/girls track: Harding Academy

Boys basketball: Rogers

Boys bowling: Siloam Springs

Girls bowliing: Hackett

Boys cross country, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls swimming, girls cross country, girls soccer, wrestling and girls tennis: Little Rock Christian.

Boys tennis: Subiaco Academy

Boys track: Mountain Home

Softball: Batesville Southside

Competitive dance: Fort Smith Southside

Competitive cheer: Benton

Boys golf: LR Episcopal Collegiate
