True Holiness Saints Center will host its annual Fall College Day on Sunday, beginning at 11 a.m.

Pulaski County Judge Tim Fox and U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln are this year’s fall sponsors of the event.

Pastor E. C. Maltbia said College Day is about connections, those between students and God, and students and their local community.

“College day is all about making a connection, first and foremost, it’s about connecting our college students with God. We want our students to know that although society offers enticing substitutes, absolutely nothing can compare to the value of a genuine growing and passionate relationship with Jesus Christ. Secondly, it is about connecting students with our local community,” Maltbia said. “We want students to leave this event with the overwhelming feeling that Conway cares about them.”

Representatives from Conway’s colleges and university will be present to give words of welcome to students, especially those new to the area.

President Allen Meadors of the University of Central Arkansas, President Terry Kimbrow of Central Baptist College and W. Ellis Arnold III, acting president for Hendrix College, will be on hand to visit with students and family members.

Aside from leaders of the education arena, Maltbia said, representatives from civic, law and business sectors will also be in attendance.

The day will consist of a message, delivered by Maltbia, a worship service led by the Judah Coral Choir, and special musical guest, Latice Crawford, Sunday Best contestant.

A free lunch will be provided for all students with a valid ID. A vendors’ fair will be held in the Family Life Center after the service.
