LITTLE ROCK (AP) — Police in Little Rock are searching for a 2-year-old girl who was allegedly taken by a family friend.

Mariyah Galaxy Fletcher was reported missing shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday by her mother — Amber Webster.

A police report says Webster allowed 31-year-old Schamitha Drayer and another woman to take the girl for ice cream Tuesday and Drayer never returned with the child. Police say the other woman told officers Drayer last told her that she was returning the child to the mother.

Sgt. Vicky Keathley says Drayer could be headed to Stuttgart, Texarkana, Ark., Memphis, Tenn., or Arlington, Texas, or could still be in the Little Rock area.

The missing girl is black, 2-feet-3-inches and about 20 pounds with curly hair.
