The Road Runners’ Extension Homemakers Club of Faulkner County will host a Memorial Celebration at Wooster City Park at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Memorial Celebration this year will honor Veterans from every military branch as well as highlight the 150th Anniversary Celebration of the "Civil War."
Professor Ron Kelley will be the key note speaker. Kelley graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a BA in History and is working on a Master of Arts in public history. He is a syndicated Arkansas Civil War historian published weekly in more than 20 newspapers across the state.
Honor Guard will be provided by VFW Post 2259 and will include: Capt. Charlie Hooten, John Delbowski, Jim Rose, Herman Bowell, Jerry Reckman, Authur Bishop, Jim Brewer, Darrell Hall, and Van Lamar, bugler, who will be performing "Taps." The Greenbrier High School Choral Group will also be performing. Lunch will be served following the program.
