What type of business is it? Greek sorority/fraternity merchandise and unique gift items

What specifically does your business do? We sell greek merchandise, and create individually designed items like applique letter shirts, or embroidery on blankets, T-shirts, jackets, cosmetic and tote bags. We have unique gift items, and offer a wish list for anyone that would like a little help getting just exactly what they like. Bid day, birthday, graduation, Christmas or just a "you are special to me" gift. We can also help with large groups needing a shirt made for a special occasion or organization.

Owner: Kara Campbell

Why did you decide to open this business/location? As compared to other university greek stores around the country, I felt that UCA and central AR needed more than what was available. And the unique gift lines help to fill a void left in west Conway after the closing of a well known business. I have 12 years of sales experience plus several in retail, and a nursing degree. So I know how to sell, in a caring way, to meet your needs so you will be happy with your purchase!

What is the best part about owning/operating this business? My customers!!!

What has been the biggest surprise that has happened since opening this business? Just how much there is to learn and juggle.

What is the best piece of advice you received before going into this business? Do your research, and start out slow. You can always add on later as you grow. Don’t forget to take some time for yourself.

What is the most important piece of advice you would give to someone starting out in business? Take the time to do all your homework and research first. Talk to prospective customers and ask them what they would want to see in your business. Talk to as many people as you can. Pray daily for guidance and sanity.

What makes your business unique to Conway and Faulkner County? We offer customer friendly hours (extended hours can be made by appointment), and a fun, vibrant place to shop for new updated greek merchandise, as well as unique gift ideas for the non-greek. We are constantly looking for new things to bring in, and are open to working with anyone to meet their needs big or small. We were the first in Conway to offer designer letter shirts for sorority girls, and the first to bring the popular Lily and Laura bracelets to town.
