A round table discussion on breast cancer care will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the Conference Room at Conway Regional Medical Center.

The Roadrunners organization with the North Faulkner County Extension Homemakers Council is holding the meeting to get input from health professionals, patients and caregivers about the needs of women related to breast cancer care in Faulkner County.

The meeting is being facilitated by Sandy Zimmerman, president of the council, who is assessing needs for a grant that is earmarked for improving breast cancer awareness. "If we can determine the unmet needs, then we can make wise investment choices," said Zimmerman. "We want to complement the existing organizations that are fighting breast cancer. We are trying to involve everybody."

Anyone who wishes to participate in the discussion should park on the east side of the medical center and enter through the east lobby.

The EHC is already planning several events to increase breast cancer awareness including a pancake breakfast in Greenbrier on Oct. 6. For more information about these activities, contact Zimmerman at 450-9595.
