Pastor Bob this past Sunday preached on the "Threshing Floor and Performance." Leviticus 26:3-6 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them, then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down and none shall make you afraid; and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. These are conditions of blessing, and we should as Christians keep the commandments and do what is right to deserve all the blessings the Lord has for us.

We are having a revival, here at New Beginning Church and if the weather is good we plan on having it outside at the pavilion, with brother Jeff Lewis beginning at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17, 18 and 19. Everyone welcome to come and be blessed. If the weather is good bring your lawn chairs, if the weather is too cold or rainy we will have the revival inside.

Pastor appreciation will be on the 21 and our guest speaker will be Brother Peter Hance and a pot luck afterwards.

Prayers for Sharon and Darrell Watts. Brother Darrell just came home from the hospital but will be laid up for a few days.

"Love is the greatest thing that God can give us for Himself is Love, and it is the greatest thing we can give to God."

We are having great services at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Attendance and fellowship have been great. God is truly blessing Bethlehem. We continue to see many new faces in the services. Since the last article we have welcomed Doug, Mandy, Colt and Luke Talley back home into our church family.

This past Sunday the WMA sponsored a Bake Sale following the morning service. Funds were directed to the Minister’s Association of Central Baptist College to be used for their banquet. Thanks to all who participated by baking or buying or both.

Bethlehem is excited to again sponsor "IVAN PARKER IN CONCERT." The concert is scheduled at 6 p.m. for Nov. 4. The only change is the location - it will be at Burgess Auditorium on the Central Baptist College Campus. The reason for the change is to accommodate approximately 200 more guests. There is not an admission charge, a love offering will be taken to cover expenses. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and open seating on a first come-first serve basis. Hope to see you there! The church bus will be going and will leave at 5 p.m. for those who may not wish to drive at night.

The Annual GMA RADA Knife Sale Fundraiser is taking place now. These make great Christmas and wedding gifts. See any GMA member or counselor to order. It is not only knives, etc., but candles, cookbooks, and "quick" mixes.

Monday will be Food Pantry Day. We have been so blessed to have so many volunteers show up on Food Pantry Day. It makes it so much easier to have so much help. The last three pantry days we have served between 130 and 140 clients. There is so much need in the community and we trust God to supply our needs to help those less fortunate.

If you are looking for a church home, we welcome you at Bethlehem for any or all of the services. For a complete schedule of services and times you may visit our website www.bethlehembaptistchurch.info or call the church office at 679-4464.
