Tom Mix’s circus is coming to Conway. It will be here Tuesday, Oct. 26, after showing on Monday in Little Rock.

Mix, idol of thousands of western film fans, will make personal appearances at the afternoon performances and the night performance at 8.

The circus has 80 arena stars, 1,000 animals and many other features. It travels in 104 trucks.

The Orpheus Club of Conway met at the home of Mrs. Myers B. Curtis, 940 Curtis St., Thursday afternoon. Serving as co-hostesses were Mrs. Ira A. Brumley and Mrs. C.M. Reves. Refreshments were served from a beautifully appointed table using as its centerpiece a fall horn of plenty. Mrs. Horace Adams entertained with a cello selection. A short business meeting also was held.

Robert V. McCray, son of Queen E. McCray of Conway, recently completed Navy recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, Fla.

A 1982 graduate of Conway High School, McCray joined the Navy in April.

Chris A. Little has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) National Advanced Leadership Camp at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash.

Little is a son of Andrea D. Jobe of Hensley and Robert G. Little of Conway. He is a 2001 graduate of Sheridan High School.
