The Rev. J.W. Hendrickson, recently assigned as pastor of the Conway Nazarene Church, arrived with his family from Hiwasse, ark., yesterday afternoon. The Rev. Hendrickson will succeed the Rev. U.D. Dibble, who was transferred to the First Nazarene Church at Tulsa, Okla. He will deliver his first sermons in the local church Sunday.

The Women’s Auxiliary of the Vilonia Baptist Church met at the home of Mrs. Dovey Stafford. Mrs. Wendell Harlan, president, called the meeting to order. Mrs. L.G. Clements Jr. was elected secretary-treasurer. Mrs. Sam Moore taught the Bible lesson. The hostess served individual plates. The next meeting will be at the church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Rebecca Lynn Luyet of Conway and Jay Packard Finch of Fort Smith will exchange wedding vows at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway.

Mayflower High School will celebrate homecoming on Friday.

The evening’s festivities start at 7 p.m. with the presentation of the queen and her court, followed by the football game against Oak Grove High School. A dance will follow the game.
