We had a great and moving revival with Bro. Jeff Lewis and his wife Heather. The messages were just what we all needed. This past Sunday we had pastor appreciation and it really turned out to be one of the best. Bro. Peter Hance gave his testimony of his life as a drug addict and alcoholic, and how he came to the Lord. This was a testimony, a lot of people should hear because it is so prevalent every where. Also Bro. and Sis. Strough sang a beautiful song and while they were singing people held up signs with encouraging words for Pastor Bob and then started walking towards us. There were lots of tears shed during this time. Bro. and Sis. Bowie took care of the music and sung a special. Bro. Bobby McNew sung a special and Sis. McNew read a poem. Sis. Marie Barnes read a special tribute to the pastor and the Rev. Doyle Patrick opened and closed the service. There were many cards and gifts given by everyone and a wonderful pot luck dinner afterwards. We have a loving and caring group of people, with a pastor and wife who loves them right back. Thank you everyone for making that a special day for us and thank you Bobby, Nancy, Marie, Jim and Pat for all the hard work you put into this and thanks to all who cooked and cleaned.

We want to wish Darrell and Sharon Watts, Orbin and Marie Barnes, and Royce and Edith Johnson a happy and blessed anniversary and a very special happy birthday to the Rev. Doyle Patrick.

"If your religion is the kind that can easily be hidden, it can easily be lost."

This past Sunday Bro. Martin finished the series on Spiritual Gifts. It was also the last message from "Disciplines 4 Life. This has been a very good study on spiritual life skills that enable us to live as God intends us to live.

We are happy to welcome Dylan Winebarger into our church family.

Sunday evening we observed the Ordinance of The Lord’s Supper. Following the service we surprised our pastor with a fellowship in the FLC honoring Bro. Martin, Jennifer, and Madelyn for their service with us. August marked the one year anniversary and we combined it with Pastor Appreciation Month to let them know what a blessing they have been to Bethlehem.

Sunday morning following the service we were treated to a good Spaghetti Lunch by the College Group. Donations were received and a Dessert Auction took place to raise funds for their trip to Atlanta, Ga., in January to attend the national college meeting of Passion. Thanks to all who had any part in making this event a success. Sunday evening during the fellowship there was also a Servant Auction of the students that will be attending.
