The listening area of radio station KCON is not designed to reach out more than 50 miles.

During certain atmospheric conditions, however, the station is picked up beyond this range.

Bill Johnson, station manager, said today that Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Kensett of Dyersburg, Tenn., called at 5:45 o’clock this morning and said they had heard an early morning broadcast from Conway.

Miss Susan Hogan, bride-elect of Gary Standridge, was honored at a two-course breakfast at Tommy’s Restaurant Saturday morning.

Hostesses were Mrs. Joe B. McGee and daughter, Miss Eileen McGee, and Mrs. Harry Beazley and daughter, Miss Virginia Beazley.

Lockie Heffington Vaughan, a daughter of C.E. and Ruby Heffington of Mount Vernon, was inducted last month into the Arkansas Eta Chapter of Alpha Chi national honor scholarship society at Harding University.

Mrs. Vaughan, a senior elementary education major, has achieved a 3.9 grade point average in 107 hours of credit.
