‘A Keyboard Christmas’

Woodland Heights Baptist Church will present "A Keyboard Christmas," Joyous Holiday Music, with special guest Dr. Neil Rutman, artist in residence, University of Central Arkansas, at 3 and 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. The church is located at 4215 Prince St., Conway. Church pastor is the Rev. David Hatfield. An offering will be received.

Maximum Impact Conference 2012

The University of Central Arkansas’s Interdenominational Christian Council will be hosting their Maximum Impact Conference 2012 "Faith, Fellowship & Finals" at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2. Featuring Gospel singing and preaching sensation Jekalyn Carr; the public is invited to attend. This event is free and open to the public.

Christmas Cantata

The J. R. Raynor Mass Choir will present a Christmas Cantata, "And They Called His Name, Jesus," at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Greater Pleasant Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 601 Spruce St., Conway.

The Cantata, written by Dr. Lloyd E. Hervey I, and based on Matthew l:21a; "And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name, JESUS: ...", is a portrayal of the Birth, Ministry, Passion, Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ.

This Cantata will feature guests from Moody Chapel AME Church, Little Rock; St. John Baptist Church, Little Rock; Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Memphis, Tenn.; members of Greater Pleasant Branch Missionary Baptist Church’s congregation, and Guest Director and Former Member of Pleasant Branch, Lucy Willis-Washington.
