Miss Margaret Evelyn Carpenter entertained the teen-age girls’ bridge club Saturday afternoon at her home on Faulkner Street, which was bright eith Christmas decorations. Miss Joyce Biggs won the high score prize. At the social hour Miss Carpenter served a dainty salad plate with hot tea.

Green Grove Lodge No. 107, Free and Accepted Masons, installed officers Tuesday night at the Masonic Hall.

The following were installed: Roy E. Brown, worshipful master; Dale H. Love, senior warden; Thomas E. Lindsey, junior warden; C. H. Voris, secretary; H.L. Clark, treasurer; Burt Stark Jr., senior deacon; Gerald Fleming, junior deacon; J.A. Richard, chaplain; and C.K. Rhodes, tyler.

J.C. Smith and Ray Parker were masters of ceremonies. T.H. Acklin was installing officer and C.F. Dorough was installing marshal.

Mr. and Mrs. Jewel D. Cook of Conway will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Cook were married Dec. 18, 1937, at Mrs. Cook’s home at Grannis (Polk County). The couple have three children, Donny and Benny Cook, both of Conway, and Judy Heide of Neosho, Mo. They have five grandchildren. Mrs. Cook is the former O.D. Sullivan. The couple’s children will serve as hosts at the reception.
