Complimenting Miss Louise Cordrey, bride-elect, Mrs. E.L. Higgins delightfully entertained Wednesday evening at her home on Davis Street with a Christmas party and supper for girls. Holiday decorations were used throughout the interior and a delicious menu was served at a beautifully decorated table. After supper the honoree was given a cosmetics shower from a lighted Christmas tree.

The Home and Garden Club held its annual Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Walter E. Browne on Thursday. Miss Anna Wilson was co-hostess. Games and gift exchange were enjoyed by members. Mrs. J.W. Jumper of McAlester, Okla., was a guest. Refreshments were served from a beautifully decorated table with a Christmas centerpiece. Miss Wilson poured coffee.

Travis Sims, 51, of Conway, has announced he will seek a second term as District 9 justice of the peace on the Faulkner County Quorum Court in the Tuesday, March 8, Democratic preferential primary. Sims and his wife, Irene, are members of Oak Bowery Baptist Church.

A lifetime resident of Faulkner County, Sims is owner and operator of Travis Sims Appliance Service of Conway. Prior to starting his own business, he was employed for 15 years by Hambuchen Home Furnishings as a service technician.
