Judge and Mrs. Rolland A. Bradley and Mr. and Mrs. E.K. Weeden entertained last evening at the Bradley home on Center Street with a dance and watch party. Canapes, date sticks and punch were served during the hours.

The 37-year-old Hotel Bachelor was destroyed by a New Year’s Eve fire that was reported at 10:25 o’clock last night.

The blaze was still smouldering at noon today and firemen continued at the scene.

Robert "Bob" Walker, 41, of Vilonia has announced he will seek the Democratic nomination for the District 42 seat in the state House of Representative in the Tuesday, March 8, preferential primary.

Walker, a research technologist at the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences campus in Little Rock, moved to Vilonia from Pulaski County five years ago.

He and his wife, Sandra, have three children.

Four Vilonia fifth-graders attended the Arkansas Music Educators Association Annual Festival Choir workshop and concert recently. The host of the workshop was Hall High School in Little Rock. Students were Anna Laura Bangs, Heidi Hall, Hannah Knight and Bailey Sisson. The students were accompanied by Bart Dooley, Vilonia choir director. Approximately 200 students from 45 Arkansas schools participated.
