First services in the new First Church of Nazarene, located at Faulkner and Scott streets, will be conducted Friday night at 7:30 o’clock, the Rev. J.W. Henderson, pastor, said today. The interior of the building has practically been completed while only the rock veneering needs to be done to complete the outside.
The Rev. Holland London, Nazarene evangelist, will preach at the opening services.

Mrs. Robert Ott entertained friends with a coffee at her home from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The serving table was covered with red felt and net and centered with an arrangement of red and white carnations around a Valentine stagecoach. Individual white cakes decorated with a Valentine theme were served. Coffee was served from a silver service.

Georgia Stubbs, 6, daughter of Patricia McNair and George Stubbs of Conway, recently won the title to Petite Sweetheart Beauty for 1988 in the 5- to 6-year-old competition of the Sweetheart Pageant held at Star City.

Dr. Carmen Arick, a Conway native, is one of five physicians at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences who have received certification as geriatricians, subspecialists in medical care for the elderly. The new geriatricians received their training in the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatrics in the UAMS College of Medicine, recently ranked 10th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report in graduate education programs for geriatrics.
